MLAs,VD Satheesan, TN Prathapan and Hibi Eden(Green MLAs) has expressed interest in launching farming on confiscated land. The number of Acres confiscated by the State Revenue Department from controversial swami, Santhosh Madhavan, would cross 130 most of which is in Puthenvelikkara panchayat in Paravur thaluk. He had acquired this land by tweaking the land laws and through fraudulent means.
Mr. Satheeshan is pursuing the prospects of undertaking paddy cultivation with the support of the local body concerned and kudumbasree. Additional District Magistrate B. Ramachandran and Revenue Department has given Green signal to this project.
